Service: 2pm Wednesday at Leesburg Baptist Church.

Burial: Leesburg Baptist Cemetery.

Mrs. Lillie Ruth Parker age 83, passed away Monday, March 6, 2017 at the MS Care Center in Morton. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 from the Leesburg Baptist Church at 2:00pm with burial at the Leesburg Baptist Church Cemetery following the service. Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 from 5:00 until 8:00 pm at the Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton and again from 12:30pm until 2:00pm at the Leesburg Baptist Church on Wednesday, March 8, 2017. The ministers officiating the services are Bro. Danny Henderson and Bro. Billy Ray Parker.
Lillie Franklin Parker was born in Leesburg, MS in Rankin County to her parents, Margel and Levie Thompson Franklin on September 27, 1933. She loved to cook, gardening, canning, traveling and she loved to read. Lillie also loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and she did not mind bragging on them just a little bit. She loved working at Scott County schools and also teaching Sunday school and Vacation Bible school. Lillie loved to crochet, working on puzzles and watching T.V. She loved her family, friends, looking at old pictures, family reunions, and reading her Bible. She also collected information on her family genealogy.She is preceded in death by her parents, Margel and Levie Franklin; her baby-brother; her brother, Paul Franklin; her sister Pauline Smith.
She is survived by her husband, Floyd Parker of Leesburg, MS; her daughters, Sandra (Raymond) Tardo of Morton and Pam (Alton) Banes of Pelahatchie; her sister, Margie Heard of Arlington, TX; her grandaughters, Kim Bennett, Leslie Pope, and Morgan Traxler; her grandson, Philip Owen; her great-granddaughters, Emily Loe, and Lily Traxler; her great-grandsons, Bryson Loe, Dalton Page, Leeland Cox, Wynn Pope, and Hayden Pope, a host of nieces and nephews; and a special friend Wesley Parker.
Serving as pallbearers were Jason Pope, Eric Traxler, Mike Smith, Tony Parker, Rickey Parker, Wesley Parker.
Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott and Lee Funeral Home of Morton, MS.
