Kenneth A. Burger, 87, of Pipestone Township, died Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Pine Ridge Nursing Home in Lincoln Township.

Services celebrating his life will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, Feb. 22, at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Benton Township. Burial will follow in North Shore Memory Gardens. The visitation will be from 6 PM to 8 PM on Tuesday at the Fairplain Chapel of Florin Funeral Service in Benton Township. Memorials may be made to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Ken was born on May 5, 1929 in Benton Harbor to Kenneth and Eva Burger. He married his wife, Dorothea Hopkins, in 1947 and together they have celebrated 69 years of marriage. He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Ken was a lumber salesman with Nowlens Lumber and Home Builders before his retirement in 1991. He also enjoyed bowling and hunting. Ken was a good family man and enjoyed being with his family.

His family includes his wife, Dorothea; his children, Kenneth (Karen) Burger of Bridgman, Carolyn (Byrl) Moore of Sodus Township, and Pamela Burger of Benton Harbor; his 5 grandchildren, Teresa Moore, Andrew Burger, Brian Moore, Carissa Pressnitz-Rosloniec and Stephen Moore; his 4 great grandchildren, Morgan Johnson, Brandon Johnson, Kylee Burger and Jason Pressnitz and his 1 great great grandchild, Kinlee Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sisters, Arlene Craig and Marjorie Worley.
