Charles Albert Benekam, 87, of Napoleon, Ohio, passed away on Friday, March 3rd, surrounded by his loving family at his niece's home in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He was the widower of the late LaRue Nash Benekam, with whom he shared 46 years of marriage.
Born in Coatesville, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Emma (Scott) and William Benekam. He was a graduate of Coatesville High School. He served honorably in the US Air Force as Staff Sergeant during the Korean War.
He worked as a Diesel Mechanic at Wood Trucking in Wauseon, Ohio.
He is survived by his siblings, William Benekam of Atglen, Pa. and Lena Hershey of Coatesville, Pa; and by his nieces and nephew.
The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 10th at 11 a.m. at Rodenberger Funeral Home, Napoleon, Ohio with viewing from 10-11 a.m. Interment will follow at Geenlawn Cemetery, Delta, Ohio.
