Evelyn was born in Maroa, Illinois on June 02, 1927 to Arthur Curtis and Margaret Primmer. On November 12, 1945, she married the love of her life in her parent’s home in Bellflower, Illinois.
Evelyn is survived by her husband; her son, Ronald (Suzanne) Cummings; three grandchildren, Christy (David), Curt (Sabrina) and Lindsay (Rebecca) and six great grandchildren.
She was predeceased in death by her parents and three brothers Art, Ed and Carl.
She graduated from Bellflower High School and also attended Bloomington Teacher’s College. She eventually retired from the State of Illinois Department of Mines and Minerals.
In her spare time she enjoyed knitting and playing the organ. She’d always play songs for her grandchildren when they would stop by for a visit. Evelyn and Harry would take laps around the White Oaks Mall in Springfield to keep fit and enjoyed daily meals at their favorite restaurant, Bob Evans.
Evelyn was a devoted wife and loved her family unconditionally. She will be deeply missed by her friends, family, and all who knew her.
