Anna M. Morrison, a lifelong Newburgh resident, entered into rest on November 19, 2014 at Valley View Nursing Home in Goshen. She was 97 years old.
The daughter of the late Antonio and Emma (Vita) Cirillo, she was born on May 30, 1917 in Newburgh. She attended Newburgh schools. Anna married David Morrison on April 30, 1939 at Sacred Heart Church in Newburgh. David predeceased her in 1996.
Anna was a very loving and caring person. She had a deep love for her family and her church. She was a faithful parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in Newburgh. Anna was a unique individual who always "did it her way."
Anna is survived by her loving children: Marleah Maneely of Walden, NY and Patric Morrison and his wife Sandy of Cornwall, NY; her 5 granddaughters: Lori Emanuele, Carol Post, Susan Martinez, Bonnie Umberto, and Caprice Killin; her 2 grandsons: Michael Maneely, Jr. and Robert G. Harris; 15 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and loving husband David, Anna was predeceased by her brothers: James, Mario and Patrick Cirillo; sisters: Susan Donato and Angeline Scocco; her son-in-law Michael Maneely, Sr. and her great-grandson Martin Martinez, Jr.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 pm on Friday, November 21 at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., Newburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. William Scafidi at 11 am on November 22 at Sacred Heart Church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, New Windsor, NY.
