Jim Lemons, 76, passed away at home Friday, March 3, 2017 in Pflugerville, Texas.

Jim was born May 18, 1940 to Jack and Elsie Lemons. As a youth, he lived all over the country while his father was in the Army. He attended his last two years of high school at the Frankfurt American High School in Germany where he played football and basketball. In 2015, he was inducted in to the school's Hall of Fame for football in 1958.

Jim graduated with bachelor's and master's degrees from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls. He worked as a physical education teacher and coach for 29 years at Texas Southmost College, which later became The University of Texas at Brownsville. He served as the Physical Education Department chair for 13 years.

After 32 years of living in Brownsville, Jim and Sharon moved to Pflugerville to be closer to their children.
