Best Friend, Charlotte, NC, Today you are 58 years old! I think of you and we miss you, we keep you alive in our minds. Have a Happy Birthday. Girlfriend best friend. Beautiful smile, blue eyes that wondered at the world. He loved most people, especially his Mother and Sisters. He had a lot of friends that still miss him, Me being one. 30 years is hard to believe. Dallas is still the same, but one less! Happy Birthday! Today you would have been 57 years old. I think of you often, most when I need a friend to talk with. I guess I knew that I could tell you anything and never be judged. Your smile has put a dent upon my heart, forever impressed images of laughter and life. I am the better for this. I do thank you for giving so much of yourself that I may carry forever a part of you within my heart. Ira Ollis Avery, Friend, Charlotte, NC 28273

Happy Birthday Ricky! You aren't with us to celebrate your Birthday, God decided he needed your smile to brighten up Heaven. You are missed by your friends and family, we have never forgotten you & we'll see you again someday. Thank you for given your life to try to make this world a better place. I know you were doing what you thought you should do, I just wish it would have turned out differently. Another Christmas has come & gone too. We still think about you & miss you. I guess that will always be so. Life has never been the same, Happy Birthday. I am thinking about you today. Wishing that you were here for me to say "Happy Birthday Blue Eyes!" Life has never been the same, but as you know & would have wanted our lives have went on. Wish you could see our Boys ( Sis and mine ). Rick they are great! Wish you see all your nieces and nephews, you would be so proud. I would like to think that God has let you have a look at all of us, and I hope that we have done you proud. Happy Birthday! Forever, Love your Friend, Myra Avery-Martin, 208 Oakwood Drive, Belmont, NC 28012

Nephew, son of his sister Janice M. In honor of uncle Ricky, I would like to thank Ira and Myra for what they said about my uncle and keeping him in your memories. My mom Janice Mauney told me about y'all a long time ago and she said all good things about y'all. I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart and I told mom what y'all said on this website and it touched her heart too. Thanks again. Warren Graham Henderson III, Blacksburg, SC.

Best Girlfriend, Happy 60th: Happy Birthday! As we journey on without you, I think of how this world has changed and things you did not get to see: cell phone, computers, etc. Sometimes I see an old car that looks like yours and I smile. You loved that old car. Sometimes when I go to Dallas, I drive the old streets that we walked as teenagers, and wonder why. Today: 39 years that changed our lives. We tarry on, but we ask why. As an American I can say that I am so proud to have called you my best friend. I thank you for all you gave to your country. I thank God that I knew you, and that you were a part of my life. You are gone but not forgotten. You would have been 60 years. Wow! Wonder what you would have looked like! Hey I am doing good, my son is 22 years old in 5 more days. Almost had him on your birthday. Well, God had his way. Listen Ricky, life is strange, and it hard to know from day to day, but I thank you for what you did for your country. I am sorry it was giving your life but God has his own time and way. We can't know why! Come sit with me and we'll talk, and I can see once again the beauty of your blue eyes. Forever your best friend. Ira Ollis, Charlotte NC 28273
