Services for Tommie Neal Barnes, 82, of Lubbock will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at the New Testament Baptist Church. Entombment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Sanders Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 6-8:00 p.m.
Tommie was born April 15, 1934 in Jacksonville, Texas to Noffie Edwin and Jeddie Mae Griffith Barnes.
He is survived by his wife of 14 years Joan Barnes Nash; two daughters, Rhetta Rogers and her husband, RJ of Lubbock and Tammy Fedynich of Lubbock; three sons, Dennis Neal Barnes and his wife Nitra of Lubbock, Joe Allen Barnes of Lubbock and Tim Nash and his wife Vickie of Lubbock; 7 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers; a sister; his first wife, Nancy, of 47 years; and a son, Butch Nash.
