Nathan Todd Cooper, 21, of Atoka, died Friday, June 18, 1999 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa from injuries sustained in an accident.

Born Oct. 7, 1977 in Liberal, KS, the son of Roy Dean and Debra Lynne Ansley Cooper, he grew up and attended elementary school in Hooker through the sixth grade before moving wiht his family to Atoka where he graduated from Atoka High School with the Class of 1996.

He was active in many ways including 4-H and FFA where he showed livestock for many years and was a member of the Sandtrax Racing Team and the First Baptist Church in Atoka.

Survivors include his parents, Toy and Debbie Cooper of the home in Atoka; his sister Nikke Cooper of the home; grandmother, Doris Ansley Hillman of Hooker; and greatgrandmother, Ethel Ansley of Guymon.

Also, uncles, Dennis Ansley of Hooker, Steve Ansley and wife Lisa of Hooker, Cleburn Eldridge and wife Shirley of Denver, CO, Leon Eldridge and wife Carol of Edmond, Verle Eldridge and wife Glenda and Eldon Eldridge and wife Emma Mae all of Hardesty; aunts, Madeline Cooper of Guymon and Patsy Knight of Lewisbille, TX; special cousins, Tyson and Cody Ansley and Ryan Kimbrel; as well as many cousins and other relativies and many very dear and loved friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Roy Ansley, F.F."Buster" and Hazel Cooper; aunt, Norma Hitchings Ansley; Uncles, Warren Strait and Billy Cooper and a very special friend, Krissi Haggard.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 23 at the First Baptist Church in Hooker with Randy Caddell and Eddy Scoggins officiating. Interment will be in the Hooker Cemetery under the direction of Roberts Brothers Funeral Home in Hooker.

The family suggests memorials be given to the Nathan Cooper Memorial Fund at the Atoka State Bank to help with medical exptnses and may be left at Roberts Brothers Funeral Home, Box 745, Hooker, OK 73945.
