Willie Ray Patton, Jr., age 29, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at his residence in Odessa, TX.
Willie was born on August 18, 1987 at Medical City Dallas Hospital to parents Willie Ray Patton, Sr. and LuBirda Ross of Plano, TX.
Willie is survived by both parents, his brother Christopher Patton of Plano, TX; his wife Marissa Torrez Patton of Rowlett, TX; and his daughter Celeste Grace Patton of Rowlett, TX.
A visitation will be held on Friday, March 3, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Greenville Avenue Church of Christ, located at 1013 S. Greenville Avenue, Richardson, TX 75081.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 1:00 PM, also at the Greenville Avenue Church of Christ. Burial will follow at Grove Hill Cemetery in Dallas.

Called "Big Willie" by his friends, Willie was sometimes sparing with words, but always ready with a smile.
Acquaintances and friends alike were struck by his kindness. A gentle giant, Willie loved people quietly, but fiercely. However, Willie was anything but quiet when he laughed; it was hard not to join in.
Willie graduated from Plano West Senior High School in 2005.
After graduation, he took classes at Collin College while working a series of jobs.
In 2011, Willie joined the United States Navy. After completing his training, he served his country in the Navy Reserves, working as a Personnel Specialist in a logistics unit attached to the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base in Forth Worth, TX. After moving to Odessa in 2013, Willie worked for a few employers, including AT&T.
Since February 2016 he had been working as a jailer for the Midland County Sheriff's Office.
Willie achieved another milestone in 2011 - when he met Marissa Torrez of Rowlett, TX in February of that year, they began a six-year love story that filled their hearts and inspired their loved ones. Willie and Marissa were married on May 9, 2015 in Garland, TX.
Their daughter Celeste was born on March 15, 2016 in Odessa, TX. Willie was a devoted husband and father. Together with Marissa, he was Celeste's first teacher and friend; he taught her to smile, to laugh, and to whisper.
