Shirley Jean Patton, age 77, of Auburn passed away on Friday, March 3, 2017 at Auburn Village Rehabilitation.

She was born on June 6, 1939 in Butler Township in DeKalb County to Marley and Ruth (Goe) Croy. She graduated from Auburn High School in 1957.

She married James Patton on August 15, 1963. He resides in Auburn.

Mrs. Patton retired from the Dana Corporation in Auburn after 37 years of service. She was a member of the Auburn Church of the Nazarene. She was also an avid Duke University Basketball fan.

She had great faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and she loved him very much!

Survivors include:
Her husband; James Patton of Auburn, Son and daughter-in-law; Eric and Sheri Patton Auburn, Daughter; Lesley, Step daughter and her husband; Crystal and Gary Gillespie of Auburn, Two grandsons; Zachary Patton and Austin Williford, Granddaughter; Autumn Williford, Three step grandchildren; Jacob and Jennifer Gillespie, Jennifer and Justin Baldwin and Joshua and Miranda Moriarity, Step great grandchildren; Abby Gillespie, Alex Gillespie, Ava Baldwin, Quinn Baldwin, Cullen Moriarity and Lucy Moriarity.

She was preceded in death by her parents and four sisters; Martha Vogtman, Ruth "Joanna" Mayse, Margaret "Eunice" Marti and Phyllis Freeman and two brothers; William "Mark" Croy and Philip Croy.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 South Center Street in Auburn. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at 2:00 PM the Feller and Clark Funeral Home in Auburn. Burial will take place at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Auburn. Officiating the funeral service will be Pastor Doug Thomas of the Auburn Church of the Nazarene.

Memorials may be directed to the Wounded Warrior Project, Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517 Topeka, Kansas 66675-8517.
