Mrs. Gertrude Alofs, aged 94, of Grand Rapids, went to be with her Lord on Monday, February 17, 1997. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman G. Alofs; her son Gaylord Alofs and her daughter Doris Taatjes. She is survived by her children, Fernley and Eleanor Alofs of Hudsonville, Jucille and Norman VanLangen of Hudsonville, Anetta and Don VanderJagt of Alaska, Geneva and Dave Adkins of Iowa. She also left 14 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
