onnie Pierce, 73, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau

Mr. Pierce, the son of the late Millice and Elza Welch Pierce, was born May 10, 1943 in Mineral Wells, Texas. He was an X Ray Technologist and a Bio Med Technician for Lucy Lee Hospital for 45 years. He was a proud member of New Covenant Fellowship Church for 36 years. Mr. Pierce loved the Lord and his church family, woodworking, fishing and most of all he loved spending time with his spouse, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

On March 1, 1975, he was married to Barbara Cooley in Poplar Bluff. Other survivors include four children, Debbie (Robert) Knowles of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Ronda (Mark) Davis of San Antonio, Texas, Christy (Wyatt) Pierce of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Rachel (Chris) Jenkins of Nixa, Mo.; eight grandchildren, Tim (Emily) Davis, Andy (Billie) Knowles, Cassie (Derek) Sieben, Stacy (DJ) Kagebein, Brittany Davis, Monica Wyatt, Pierce Jenkins and Emily Jenkins; nine great-grandchildren, Allie Murphree, Lexi Sieben, Kenzie Sieben, Mirah Knowles, Blake Sieben, Harvin Kagebein, Tripp Davis, Thea Wyatt and Aubree Sieben.

A graveside service and burial will begin at 1 p.m. Monday at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Poplar Bluff with the Rev. Jerry Moore officiating.
