Bonnie Ruth Cooper, daughter of Earnest and Gladys S. Rogers Weatherly, was born April 30, 1935, in Dawson, Missouri. She departed this life Tuesday, February 28, 2017, in Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of eighty-one years, nine months, and twenty-eight days.

On July 7, 1955, she was united in marriage to Thomas Clark Cooper, and to this union one daughter was born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Tom, on June 16, 2005; a daughter, Rita Dowdy; five brothers, John, Jim, Earnest, Russell, Tommy, and Mack Weatherly; and a sister, Agnes Todd.

Bonnie is survived by a sister, Betty Sanderson, of Springfield, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

She was raised in Wright County, Missouri, and then moved with family to Laclede County. She worked at the Rice Stix Factory for a few years when she was a young lady.

After she and Tom were married in the First Baptist Church in Lebanon, they made their home in the Kansas City area and lovingly raised their daughter. Bonnie was a devoted homemaker to her husband and family throughout the years. The family later moved to Springfield and then back to Lebanon. Bonnie had made her home in Springfield for the last several years.

Bonnie made her profession of faith in Christ early in her life and was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Lebanon.

She enjoyed spending time with her friends and had a great love for dogs and cats. She had strong opinions and was steadfast in her convictions. She loved her family dearly and was very close to her sister, Betty.

Bonnie was a loving sister, aunt, and was a caring friend to many. We celebrate her life and know that she will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
