Andrew J. Maxwell, 51, entered into rest Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Heidi M. (McIntyre) Maxwell for 25 years.
A celebration of life gathering will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, March 6, 2017 at Hellam VFW, 341 Yorkana Rd., Hellam. The John W. Keffer Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc. is assisting the family.
Mr. Maxwell was born April 4, 1965 in Utica, NY, a son of the Karl P. and Cindy C. (Smith) Maxwell of Marcy, NY. He had been employed as a restaurant manager at Chi-Chi's and Applebee's. Most recently he was employed as a bartender at Hellam VFW. He was a graduate of the University of Rochester. He was a member of the Hellam VFW and the Susquehanna Beneficial Assoc.
Andrew is survived by his wife; children, Molly H. Maxwell and Jake A. Maxwell; a grandson, Aiden S. Oberdorff; brothers and sisters, Albert Maxwell and his wife Joyce of Gaithersburg, MD, Wayne Maxwell and his wife Maria of Floyd, NY, Shelly Freiermuth and her husband Andy of Marcy, NY, Kelly Maxwell Of Marcy, NY, Heidi Smith and her husband Dave of Stittville, NY; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Donna McIntyre of Pittsfield, MA, Mike and Brenda McIntyre of Clay, NY, Steven and Maureen of Waterford, NY, Dan and Collen Kays of Dalton, MA; many nieces and nephews. He is loved and missed greatly by family and friends. Cancer sucks!
