A native of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Luther and Ellen Robinson Hall. He was also preceded in death by three sisters and one brother. He was employed as a millwright at Dayco Corp. for 33 years before retiring in 1986. He was a U.S. Marine, having served during World War II in the Asiatic and Pacific area. He attended Waynesville Christian Fellowship Church. He was an avid reader and enjoyed bird watching, fishing and gardening in his flowers and shrubs.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lottie N. Hall; son, Noland Hall and his wife, Jackie, of Clyde; brother, Howard Hall of Clyde; and two grandchildren, Autumn Hall of Waynesville and Forrest Hall of Bethel.
The graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Upper Crabtree Community Cemetery with Phillip Morgan officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Dennis Caldwell, Burlion Green, Doyle Smith, Dooley Miller, Bill Huddleston and Larry Evans.
