Married to Susan Hindsman 1856 @ Coweta Co., GA - parents to seven children.

"A.W.N. Wilson, one of the most successful farmers in this region, belongs to one of the oldest families in the state, his grandfather George Wilson having settled in GA in 1781. A native of Maryland, he served in the Revolutionary War...he lived to the remarkable age of one hundred and ten years. His wife was Miss Rhoda Spence...
His son George A. Wilson was born Walton Co., GA in 1800. He married Miss Apscila Newsome. Their son A.W.N. Wilson was born in Coweta Co. and raised on a farm near Moreland. In 1861 he enlisted in Company C, Thirty-fourth GA regimentand was soon made lieutenant of the company, with which he went thru many important engagements. But in the Seige of Vicksburg he lost an arm and was obliged to return home...
He is one of the most progressive farmers in the south, and has acquired a considerable fortune, and is widely known and respected.He is a member of the Masonic fraternity. Mr. & Mrs. wilson are devoted members of the (Luthersville) Methodist Epsicopal Church."

A. W. N. Wilson has a CSA pension application on line under Coweta County, Ga. It says he moved from Meriweather County , GA in 1899. He says he was a Lt in Company C of the 34th GA regiment, Cummings' brigade. He mentions he lost his right arm. BUT in the paperwork is a marriage certificate where he married Amanda E. Cousins in Meriwether County on 17 Nov. 1898. Proof of his death is also included.
