Grace Augusta Terry, age 83, of Ririe, passed away Friday, March 3rd 2017 at Lincoln Court in Idaho Falls.
Grace was born August 30th 1933 at Miles City, Montana a daughter to Christian Bear and Nelsine Nelsen Bear. She attended schools in Snohomish, Washington, Missoula, Montana and graduated from high school in Stevensville, Montana.
She married Donald Lawrence Terry June 6th 1952 in Monterey, California.
Grace was a wonderful homemaker. She loved taking care of her children and grandchildren. Through the years, she spent many hours sewing dresses for her girls and also enjoyed making dolls for the neighbor kids and grandchildren. She helped her neighbors in many ways, from mending clothes and doing their hair. All the neighborhood kids would come to her house after school for cookies. She was a good cook and always had coffee and snacks waiting for her visitors.
Grace was a member of the Ririe Chapel for 60 years. She loved Jesus, her Bible, and was always willing to help her church family in any way she could. Her cheerful attitude, patience and compassion for others glorified her Lord Jesus in every way.
Survivors include: her husband Donald Lawrence Terry, children; Dawnie (Jerry) Judd of Idaho Falls, Susan (Mike) MacConnel of Idaho Falls, Jeannie (Joe) Holland of Rigby, Julie (Scott) Ueckert of Idaho Falls, Anna (Gavin) Blackburn of Belgrade, Montana, William (Wendy) Terry of San Antonio, Texas, sister; Frannie Poppino of Sacramento, California, 24 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, eight brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday March 8th, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Eckersell Memorial Chapel, 101 West Main Street, Rigby, Idaho. The family will visit with friends at the funeral home Tuesday March 7th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery. The family expresses their appreciation to all the healthcare providers who took care of our mom. Special thanks to Dr. David Shrader, and Dr. Teresa Johnson. We would also like to acknowledge the loving care of Mom’s hospice nurse, Janel Campbell and the rest of the hospice team.
