Schneider, John D., Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Thursday March 2, 2017, the day after his 80th birthday.
Beloved husband of the late Mary Joan Schneider; loving father of Anne (Rob) Golterman, John (Rosa Maria), Robert, and Mark Schneider; dear grandfather of Victoria Gabriel, Robert, Kathleen, Johanna, and Alexandra.
John devoted his life to advocating for the under-represented, the marginalized, and the less fortunate, in his capacity as both lawyer and public servant. He served in the Missouri House of Representatives for one term, and then in the Missouri Senate from 1969 to 2002. He practiced law for over fifty years, and up until the day he died. He was an active member of Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys.
Devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, dog lover, and Billikens basketball fan.
Services: Mass Tues. March 7, 10 am at Ste. Genevieve du Bois, 1575 N. Woodlawn, Warson Woods. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Lawyers For Life, Humane Society, or St. Louis University appreciated. Visitation Monday March 6, 4- 8 pm at Bopp Chapel, 10610 Manchester Rd., Kirkwood.
