Jessie Cole, Jr. who graced our lives for forty-nine years, finished his course on Monday, January 30, 2017.

Jessie, who was a fierce competitor, an advocate for the underdog and who believed that all of us can do great things, graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1985. He also graduated from San Jacinto College with an associate degree in General Studies. His Christian walk was cultivated under the leadership of Pastor Terrance H. Johnson at Higher Dimensions of Houston, Texas.

He was the youngest child from the family of Jessie and Fannie Cole, both who proceeded him in death.

While missing Jessie is indescribable, he leaves to cherish his memory, a wife, Kenya; three daughters: Kayla McCall, Tykia, and Jaci Cole; five grandchildren, Marcus Sinegal, Robert Richard III, Haley Jones, Chole Cole all of Houston, a loving mother-in- law Patricia Gordon of Port Arthur, five siblings: Sandra Cole Olaye of Port Arthur, Tracy Cole of Houston, Regina (Carl) Bellard of Port Arthur, Eric Cole, Sr. of Houston and Rodrick Cole (Tonya) of Pearland, Texas; also, a devoted Godmother, Margo Lane Bluiett, and a loving Goddaughter, Jasmine Prevost.

This Saturday, we, his family and friends, warmly embrace and acknowledge Jessie’s absence from this life into his new life, which now we believe he is present with the Lord. The acknowledgement of Jesus as Jessie’s Lord and Savior will be celebrated at Rock Island Baptist Church, this Saturday, February 4, with the viewing from nine to eleven and the celebration of his life starting immediately at eleven. Rev. Ransom E. Howard officiating.

Jessie’s final earthy residence will be at St. John’s Community Cemetery in Kinder, Louisiana, and supervision of his care has been assigned to Hannah Funeral Home, Inc.
