Tina M. Sanders, 59, of Cleona died Thursday, March 2, 2017 in her residence. She was the wife of James A. Sanders to whom she was married 31 years.

Tina was born in Lebanon on March 15, 1957, the daughter of the late Alexander and Ida (Tavani) Hawryluk.

She was the self-employed owner of Personal Assistant Data Services and in her earlier years was an EMT for First Aid and Safety Patrol.

Tina was a 1975 graduate of Lebanon Catholic High School where she served in the band front and as a baton twirler and attended Harrisburg Area Community College. She was a member of St. Benedict the Abbot Catholic Church, Lebanon where she helped to teach Sunday school, and the Friends for Hope Relay for Life Team.

A former ballplayer herself, Tina was influential in girls fastpitch softball throughout the state. When her daughters played, she helped to manage their teams. Loving known as “Mrs. B.”, she would often bring refreshments, especially monster cookies. This tradition continued throughout the years. She was president and secretary of the Lebanon County Girls Fastpitch League, co-founder of the A-C Heat travel softball organization, manager of the Twisted Sisters team in the Elizabethtown Women’s Fast Pitch Softball league, and forever fan of Annville-Cleona softball. Her most recent role was as State JO Commissioner of ASA Softball.

Surviving in addition to her husband are daughters Kaitlyn R., wife of Evan Thursby of Benton and Dr. Allix M. S., wife of Dr. Benjamin Streifel of Kensington, MD; a step-daughter Jamie Sanders of Mt. Zion; a step-son Beau, husband of Amanda Sanders of Lebanon; grandchildren Olivia and Micah Sanders; two brothers Anthony, husband of Kelly Hawryluk of Annville and Joseph Hawryluk of Lebanon; and a long-time friend, Coleen McCaffrey of Lebanon. She was preceded in death by a brother Steven Hawryluk.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM at St. Benedict the Abbot Church, 1300 Lehman Street, Lebanon. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in Holy Cross Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Sunday evening from 6-8 PM at the Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, 618 E. Main Street, Annville. Contributions may be made to the Friends for Hope Relay for Life Team, checks payable to the American Cancer Society & sent to Mary Graybill, 1409 Louser Road, Annville, PA 17003.
