Sylvia Grace Robb, 104, of State College, formerly of McConnellstown, passed away at 7:20 P.M. on Tuesday, February 3, 2015, at Centre Crest, Bellefonte. Born December 12, 1910, in Walker Township, Huntingdon County, she was a daughter of the late James Hamilton Stapleton and Louella Gertrude (Saylor) Stapleton. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Herman Glen Robb, her daughter, Helen Morningstar, granddaughter, Carol Lane, and great-grandson, Nathaniel Lane. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family having been preceded in death by her sister, Mildred Herbster, and five brothers, Paul, Carl, Roy, Reed, Robert, and George Stapleton. Mrs. Robb is survived by a son, Larry Glen Robb, and a daughter, Donna Doerr Robb, both of State College, seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Robb was a member of the Community Chapel of Hesston and also attended the Mt. Nittany Methodist Church in Lemont.

During her life she was employed by the former Huntingdon Silk Mill; the late Dr. Parker; J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital; and the former Arrow Shirt Factory, all of Huntingdon.

She was a life member of the McConnellstown Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, McConnellstown Homemakers Club and the Huntingdon County Extension Association.

Friends may call from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of service on Saturday, February 7, 2015, at the John B. Brown Funeral Home, 417 Washington St., Huntingdon. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 7th, at the funeral home, with the Reverend Scott Decker officiating. Interment will be in Huntingdon Memorial Gardens, Walker Township, Huntingdon.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in remembrance of Sylvia G. Robb may be made to State College Meals on Wheels, Inc., 205 S. Garner St., State College, PA 16801.
