Funeral service for Wanda Naylor Howell, age 79, of Decatur, will be Saturday, March 4, 2017, 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Decatur with Rev. Roger Jenkins officiating. The family will receive friends for two hours prior to service. Interment will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Howell, who died Thursday, March 2, 2017, at her residence, was born July 10, 1937, in Lawrence County, to Rubert Naylor and Gussie Harris Naylor. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Kenneth Naylor.
She is survived by her husband, William K. "Billy" Howell of Decatur; two sons, Steve Howell (Terry Chamness), and Jack Howell (Krista); and five grandchildren, Craig Howell, Wesley Howell, BillyMac Howell, Dawson Howell, and Danielle Howell.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Myers, Billy Rains, Lee Barran, Brian Legg, Jonathan Thrasher, and Kraig Gillespie.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Hospice of North Alabama.
In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests memorial donations be made to Hospice of North Alabama or First Baptist Church of Decatur.
