She was born October 4, 1941 in Muskegon to Charles and Alice (Allen) Ferrier. She married David Benham December 2, 2000 in Muskegon. Mary loved her family, the Lord and Elvis.
She is survived by her husband, David Benham of Hart; children, Patricia (Rick) Root of Fremont, Mary Baker of Fremont, Richard (Emma Ward) Baker of Twin Lake, Daniel (Beatrice) Oberlin of White Cloud, Kenneth (Birgit) Oberlin of Germany, Michele (Earl) Hossler of Marshall, and Kevin (Amy) Oberlin of Shelby; twenty grandchildren and thirty-three great-grandchildren; one brother, Francis (Ethel) Ferrier of Muskegon; four sisters, Dorothy (Al) Barney of Montague, Marlene (Richard) Bordeaux of Bitely, Jean (Bob) Sprig of Washington State, and Marion (Charles) Colligan of Muskegon; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Margie Doyle, and five brothers, Lavern, Richard, Edward, Raymond and Charles Ferrier.
Funeral services for Mrs. Benham will be held Tuesday, March 8, 11:00 am at St. Gregory's Catholic Church in Hart with Rev. Father Tom Bolster officiating.
Visitation will be Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm with Rosary Recital at 7:30 pm at King Funeral Home in Hart.
The family requests any memorials be directed to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
