Georgia Milburn Couture, age 98, passed away peacefully in the presence of her family, on February 18, 2017 at The Legacy House in Taylorsville, Utah. She was born on December 29, 1918 in Vernal, Utah to Alice Zora and John Sharp Milburn. Georgia graduated from Uintah High School in 1937. She married Frank S. Couture August 28, 1937. Georgia is preceded in death by her parents, her dear brother Joseph Christy, her husband, Frankie, of 63 years and her two son-in-laws Norman Pease and Bruce Freestone. She is survived by daughters Pam Pease of Vernal and Jodie Freestone of Cottonwood Heights, Utah. She has 8 grandchildren 15 great-grandchildren and one Great-great granddaughter. Georgia lived in Vernal all her life except when she went with Frank to Ft. Atterbury, Indiana for about a year during WWII. Georgia was very active in many organizations: LDS Relief Society, Women of the Moose, American Legion Auxiliary, Kiwanians, and Pink Ladies. She has been honored for her many hours and many years she volunteered at ARMC Pink Ladies. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Blackburn Vernal Mortuary, (15 East 100 North in Vernal). Viewing will be at 10:00 am and funeral at 11:00 am. Interment will be at the Vernal Memorial Park.
