Ronnie Whitley, age 73, of Malvern passed away February 24, 2017 at Baptist Health–Hot Spring County. He was a born September 29, 1943, the son of Donald Monroe and Leola Hardin Whitley. He was retired from Reynolds Metal after 30 years, dairy farmer for twelve years, but was always a cattleman. Ronnie was a member of Taylor’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Whitley.

Survivors are his wife, of 51years, Dixie M. Efird Whitley; mother, Leola Whitley; sons, Kevin Whitley (Angie) and Kyle Whitley (Stacy) all of Malvern; brothers, Jerry Whitley (Ann) of Gifford and Rick Whitley (Sharon) of Greenbrier; papas four special grandchildren, Isaac, Mariah, Rose and Jacob Whitley; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Allen and JoAnn Efird, Anna and Lendell Dollar, Wendell and Barbara Harper and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 28 from 6:00-8:00pm at Regency Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 1 at 2:00pm at Second Baptist Church, in Malvern, with Wendell Harper, Brothers Mark Thornton and Scott Efird officiating. Burial will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers are Isaac, Jacob, Matt, Brent, Travis, and Tracy Whitley, James Dollar, David Wiley, Dennis and Bruce Thornton. Honorary pallbearers are Carl Bailey, Roy Sulton, Rodney Hardin, Joe Keenom and co-workers of Reynolds Metal Company.
