James “Jim” Howard Morley, 93, of Spencer, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2017, at Garden Villa, Bloomington.

Jim was born on November 18, 1923 in Freedom, Indiana, to William Henry and Fannie Jane (Mc- Neal) Morley.

Jim and his wife lived on their small farm outside of Spencer for over 50 years. Jim was a retiree of General Motors, working in the Chevrolet Press Metal plant in Indianapolis for over 30 years. He loved their beloved family farm, his tractor, hunting, fishing and woodworking.

Jim is survived by his wife Dorla “Dottie” I. (Ford) Morley; his children, Robert A. Morley Bowling Green, Janet E. (Morley) Cravens of Bloomington, Timothy J. Morley of Bright; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Richard Morley; and several nieces and nephews.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Roby Morley, Pearl Hickam, Delzo Morley, Clifford Morley, Helen Starnes and Lorreta “June” Wallace.

Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m., Saturday, March 4, 2017 at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home in Spencer. Pastor Gary Davey will officiate. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday, March 3, 2017 between 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., and Saturday 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
