He graduated from Fay School and later attended college at Southwestern Oklahoma State. Tom was a Hospital Administrator in Wyoming for many years and later a Nursing Home Administrator. He traveled to nursing homes in over 7 states during his career. He married the love of his life, Alta Lavonne Kidd, in Kingfisher in 1993. She preceded him in death October 20, 2014.
Tom had lived in Marlow since 2000. His hobbies included traveling, watching snow birds, working on lawn mowers and watches. Tom also had his pilot's license and enjoyed flying. He was in the Air Force and served his country proudly during the Korean War and also served in Scotland. He was a member of the Bray Missionary Baptist Church. He will be greatly missed by friends and family.
Survivors include, daughter, Cindy Scott and husband Tim of Watonga; son, Tim Humphrey and wife Katherine of Eagle City, step-daughter Michelle Clements-Whitman and wife Julie of Norman; 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by daughter, Carol Humphrey and his parents.
Graveside Services will be held at Marlow Cemetery Wednesday, March 8th at 2:00 PM with Rev. David Standifer officiating. Cremation and burial has been entrusted to Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.
