Dwight “Ike” Reynolds, April 9, 1935 – February 28, 2017. God was with Dwight throughout his life. At four, Dwight and his dog, Spotty , were lost in below freezing temperatures. Spotty kept him warm overnight, God kept him alive until they were found the next day. God was with him throughout his childhood as a bull pinned him to the ground. Also, when Dwight was playing in a cow’s harness and was choking, God’s saving hand was there. God was with Dwight as he grew into adulthood. Dwight was unhurt in car accidents that were described as unsurvivable. Dwight responded with a loving “ok,ok” as God called him to be with Him on February 28th. Dwight was predeceased by his parents, Ralph and Lucy Reynolds. His brother and wife, Earl and Odessa Reynolds, his brother Robert Reynolds. His sister-in-law Elda Reynolds. Also preceding him in death were his mother and father in law, James and Mary DeMatteis. His sister in law, Josephine DeMatteis, and brothers-in-law, Jim, Nick and Mario DeMatteis. He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Vincenza (Vinnie). Vinnie dedicated the past 14 years as Dwight’s primary caregiver, meeting his needs with love, grace and a smile. Dwight is survived by their six children, Maria (Tom) Mangino, Dwight Jr. (Nancy) Reynolds, Jimmy Reynolds, Michael (Lisa) Reynolds, Chris Reynolds and Anthony (Jennifer) Reynolds. Twelve grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Richard and sister-in-law, Yvonne. He is survived by his sisters-in-law Concetta Howe (Dave) and Carm Welser (Ed). Dwight served in the United States Army, where he medaled as a top marksmanship and mechanic. He passed his knowledge and enjoyment for cars and car repairs.
