Les was a proud American serving in the US Army, 508th Airborne Division in the Korean War and volunteer care taker for the Abington Veterans Memorial for 10 years. His hobbies included flying on weekends after getting his private pilot's license, landscaping and carpentry. He will be remembered for his honesty and true integrity to stand alone if meant doing what was right. A true gentlemen.
A graveside service with full military honors will be held 10:45 a.m. on Monday, March 6, 2017 at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
