Daisy Byrd Gragg, age 95, of Newland, died February 23, 2017. She was born November 3, 1921 in Watauga County, NC.
She was a member of the Watauga Baptist Church and had taught Sunday School for many years. Daisy enjoyed quilting, canning, and gardening.
Along with her parents, Daisy was preceded in death by her husband, Rom Gragg; sisters, Rosa Crawford, Lillie Wagner; brothers, Will Byrd, Claude Byrd and Dock Byrd.
She is survived by her son, Harold and Donna Gragg of Taylorsville, NC; granddaughters, Lisa and Mark Smith of Hickory, NC, Christy and Eric Murdock of Davidson; great grandchildren, Caleb Smith, Bryson Smith, Hayden Murdock, Mason Murdock, Erica Murdock; sister, Flo Willard of Glennside, PA; brothers, Clyde and Mary Byrd of Boone, NC and Howard Byrd of Foscoe, NC.
Funeral services held at the Grandfather Chapel of Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home officiated by Dr. Phil Murdock. Internment in the Watauga Baptist Church Cemetery.
