His funeral service will be 10:00 AM Saturday, January 10 at First Christian Reformed Church, Sioux Falls, with burial at Hills of Rest Memorial Park. Visitation begins at 2:00 PM Friday, January 9 at George Boom Funeral Home, Sioux Falls, where the family will greet friends form 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Frank VerHey, son of Job and Cornelia (Meuzelar) VerHey, was born November 22, 1924 on the family farm in Rock County near Hills, MN.
He was united in marriage with Martha Van Ginkel on December 2, 1949 in Hull, IA.
Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Martha; four children, Clifford VerHey and his wife, Marcia, of California, Barbara Christopher and her husband, Robert, Sioux Falls, SD, Darryl VerHey, Orlando, FL, Sharon Weisensee and her husband, Thomas, Sioux Falls, SD; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a brother, Leonard VerHey and his wife, Dorothy, Lennox, SD; a sister-in-law, Patricia VerHey, Sioux Falls, SD; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Frank was preceded in death by a daughter, Waletta Derry; his parents; two sisters, Plona VerHey and Marie VandenBurg; two brothers, William and Job VerHey; and a son-in-law, Chris Derry.
