After raising her family she did child care in and out of her home. She worked for Post Gardens in Rockwood, which was known for their high quality plants.
Her and Curtis moved to Monroe County in 1984. After Curtis death Lucille lived, in Carleton Senior Center, Carleton Michigan, for over 20 years.
Lucille was an avid reading thousands of books during her lifetime and she could tell you if she had read it and what the story was about.
Lucille loved to cook for her family and would make a variety of dishes so each child would have their favorite dish for family dinners.
Lucille had a strong faith and always put her sorrows and troubles in the Lord' s hands.
