~Laura Fay Blankenship Hall~

Laura Fay Hall, 92, of Warne, died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2007, in an Atlanta hospital.

A native of Clay County, she lived in Atlanta for several years before moving back to Clay County in 1992. She was the daughter of the late William and Bertha Parker Blankenship.

She retired after 32 years with Woodward Academy in College Park, Ga. She was a member of Tusquittee Church of God but attended Mount Pisgah Baptist Church for many years.

Surviving are three daughters, Loretta Miller, Charlotte Bradshaw and husband Clemson, and Brenda Joy Edwards and husband Doug; two sons, Carol “Bub” Hall and wife Mary Ann, and James “Jim” Hall and wife Julie; a stepson, Johnny Hall; a sister, Josephine Gibson; 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, in the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Hayesville. Burial was in Union Hill Cemetery.
