Richard was born March 22, 1938, in Tulsa, Okla., son of LaVeta Daniel and Richard Daniel Sr. He served his country in the U.S. Army as a medical specialist. He sang bass with his church, worked in ticket sales at shows and was a driver.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; his mother-in-law Thelma Trustey; and stepgrandson Preston Mikel Baughman.
Survivors include his wife Merinda Daniel; daughter Tracy Peterson and husband Tommy; son Mikel Baughman and wife Kayla; sister Donna Limberley and husband Doyce; six grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Inurnment with full military honors at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield.
