Daughter of Dr. James Scott and wife Sarah Brown Scott of "Dipple," Overwharton Parish, Stafford Co., Virginia. Catherine married her relative, Dr. William Brown. Reputedly her remains were removed from Preston Plantation to Pohick Episcopal Church Cemetery in 1921/22 when Dr. Brown's were also reenterred. Her grave evidently is currently unmarked.
