Mrs. Joann Smith, age 70, of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at her home.
Joann was born in Villa Rica, Georgia on January 1, 1947, the daughter of the late Burean Carr and Grace Lee Boyce Carr.
Joann was a woman of faith, full of life, was warm, caring and hospitable. She loved taking care of her home and spending time with her family. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Her presence will be deeply missed, but we have many wonderful memories that we will cherish forever. Joann was a member of Grace Life Church for fifty six years.
Joann is survived by her husband, David Smith, of fifty five years, son, Dewayne Smith, son, Daryl and Samantha Smith, grandson, brother, Ronald and Kay Carr, all of Villa Rica, Georgia.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Barbara Thornton and Darlene Hulsey and brother, Douglas Carr.
Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, March 2, 2017, 11 a.m. at J. Collins Funeral Home.
Interment will follow the service at Melrose Hills Memorial Gardens
