Mr. Baxley was born the son of the late Cleonis "Connie” Baxley and the late Madeline Cox Baxley in Florence, SC.
He was a retired mechanic with Tupperware. He was a member of Rehobeth Pentecostal Holiness Church and was a member of the American Legion Riders Chapter 84 and the Palmetto EZ Riders.
Peanut and Karen were married on October 15, 1976, and celebrated 40 years together.
He was survived by two children, Kenneth (Shelley) Dale Baxley and Steven Ladain (Jessica) Baxley; and five grandchildren, Cullen, Sarah Kensley, Reid, Parker, and Tatum; a brother, Earl (Teresa) Baxley; a sister, Janet (Eddie) Haney; and eight nieces and nephews, Thomas Baxley, Timothy Baxley, Abbie Haney, Megan Haney, Jason Parrott, Deidre Hardwick, and Beverly Owens.
Funeral services were Wednesday, March 1, 2017, in Rehobeth Pentecostal Holiness Church. The Rev. Martin Jackson officiated. Burial followed in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The Hemingway Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home was in charge.
