Concepcion “Connie” Rodriguez 53 passed away Saturday February 25, 2017. She was born March 3, 1963 in Lockney, Texas to Anastacio Salazar and Maria Gonzales Salazar.
Connie was a loving mother who enjoyed working around students as a teacher’s aide and spending her time with her children and grandchildren. Connie loved to cook for her family and enjoyed going to their school events and games.
Connie is preceded in death by her parents, a son Elijah Rodriguez, and four sisters, Norma Salazar, Maria Casares, Francis Cantu and Lupe Uribe.
Those left to cherish her memory are a daughter, Ariel Rodriguez of Lubbock, Texas, three sons, Daniel and wife LeaAnn Rodriguez of Brownfield, Miguel and wife Marissa Martinez of Ralls, Fidel and wife Alexis Reynoso of Houston and nine grandchildren. She also leaves behind four brothers, Paul Salazar, Hilario Salazar of Ralls, Johnny Salazar of Lorenzo, Andy Salazar of Nevada, four sisters, Maggie Martinez of Ralls, Nora Salazar of Lubbock, Santos Barton of Mecades, and Isabell Campos of Taylor.
A rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. Thursday March 2, 2017 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Ralls. Funeral mass will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday March 4, 2017 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Ralls with burial following in Ralls Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home in Ralls. Serving as pallbearers will be Ivan Martinez, Tim Landin, Rudy Salazar, Moses Salazar, Chris Salazar and Alex Martinez.
