Roger William Avery was born Dec. 2, 1940, in Joplin, Mo, and passed away in Tehachapi on Feb. 15, 2017.
He had moved to California in 1959. He was married in 1961 and in the late '60s, he, his wife and children moved to the Antelope Valley. Upon retirement they moved to Tehachapi in 2006.
Roger is survived by his wife, Aleda Fae Avery (Russell), two children, Thomas W. and James M. Avery, his grandchildren, Eric Jon, Victoria Moody and Jordan Avery. He is predeceased by daughter Jennifer Lee and parents Ralph and Kathy Avery.
