Rose Daugherty was born on February 16, 1915, on the family farm in Crooks Township, Renville County to Hilko and Rose (Rubbie) Hinderks. She grew up on her family's farm north of Renville and attended country school.
She was united in marriage to Dale Daugherty on April 17, 1932, in Renville. Following their marriage, they farmed north of Renville and raised their family. Rose was a member of the United Methodist Church in Renville and was active and faithful member of the United Methodist Women. She loved gardening and growing flowers, baking, knitting and crocheting, playing cards, and playing the organ. Rose also loved to go fishing, and she still went ice fishing at the age of 80.
Survivors include her two sons: Eldon and Kenneth; her six grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dale, and her siblings: Harm, Catherine, Dick, Alta, Herman, and John.
