Christina Grogan Cantrell
December 10, 1926 - February 27, 2017

On February 27, 2017, Christina Grogan Cantrell was welcomed into heaven by Christ Jesus Our Lord. She is reunited with her parents, Patrick and Mary Grogan, her brother John and his wife Mary, her sister Bridgette and husband Rocky King and her sister Kathleen Colwell.

Christina was born on December 10, 1926 in Ballyhaunis, County Mayo, Ireland. She departed Liverpool, England in 1950 on the M.V. ''Georgic'' bound for New York. She travelled to Amarillo where she worked as a nurse at St. Anthony's Hospital.

Chrissie married Mark Cantrell, Jr. on December 29, 1950 at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Amarillo Texas. They were life-long members of St. John's Catholic Church.

Christina left this life surrounded by her loving husband Marcus and children, Kathleen Berry and husband Bob, Mary Lewellyn and husband Rocky, Kevin Cantrell and wife Carol, Gerald Cantrell and wife Tish, Helena Ambrose and husband James, David Cantrell and wife Paula, Suzie Casida and husband Tom, John Cantrell and wife Shelly, Patricia Bonner and husband Alan, Teresa Lusk and husband Jim, Jeannie Perigo and husband Chris, Angela Goodwin and husband Rod and Julie Wood and husband Danny. She was blessed with thirty-six grandchildren, fifty-four great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews, all whom she deeply loved.

A rosary will be held at St. John's Catholic Church on Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m. The funeral mass will be held on Friday at 10:30 a.m. officiated by Christina's nephew, Monsignor Michael Colwell of Dalhart.
