Mrs. Sheryl SueAnn (Gibson/Verberg) Bell 72 of Newaygo gracefully went home to be our Angel on February 26, 2017 in Sebring, Florida. She was born December 10, 1944 to George and Beatrice Gibson of Rockford and lived in Newaygo where she raised her 3 children.

She worked for Kent City Schools as a bus driver and then for Newaygo Public Schools also as a bus driver and in the lunch program until her retirement. Then she volunteered for the Grand Parents program in Mr. Wittenberger’s class.

She loved her family and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, camping, her winter months in Florida where she walked, fished and went flea marketing with her husband and 2 dogs.

She was preceded in death by her parents George and Beatrice Gibson, Aunt and Uncle Irene and Jack Lynn, Lewis Moss (special friend) and son-in-law Richard Bisel. She is survived by her loving and adoring husband Ralph Bell and beloved pets Sweet Pea & Manervia, her children Christine (Tim) Cronk, Tammy Porter, Kevin (Jenn) Verberg and David Porter, her grandchildren Nathan Bisel, Nicole (Jeff) Klomp, Joey (Laura) Cronk, Kayleigh (Joel) Bisel, Stephanie (Brad) Cronk, Courtney (Michael) Verberg, Branden Verberg, Reece Verberg, and Braelyn Powers; great grandchildren Gabriel, Ian, Emerlynn, Grayson, and Lucas; brother and sister-in-law Fred and Betty Bell; a special niece Kim, other nieces and nephews and many friends.

A time of visitation will be held on Friday, March 3, 2017 from 6-8 PM and also one hour prior to the funeral service at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 4 at the Pederson Funeral Home, Rockford.

A special thank you to Highland Regional Medical Center for the exceptional and compassionate care they provided to her and her family. Memorials to the Diabetes Mellitus Foundation would be appreciated.
