Pamela Piehl Brooks

Pamela Piehl Brooks passed from this life to her heavenly life on February 24, 2017. She was born on October 3, 1945 to Icie Rothell Piehl and William Lombard Piehl (Bill).

Pamela lived in Shreveport and Keithville her entire life. For the Last Several years, she made her home at Rose View Nursing Center.

Pam had many challenges in her life, but never let them dim her sweet smile. Everyone commented on her beautiful blue eyes. She was known at Rose View as “Sunshine,” and she loved everyone who took such good care of her. She was married to John Brooks until his passing in 2004.

She is survived by three sons, John, William and Rohn Brooks, one grandson Dakota Brooks, a sister Barbara Colvin (Babs) and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother-in-law Max Colvin.

Through all her many illnesses and surgeries, she remained optimistic, patient and smiling. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She really fought a good fight and now she is enjoying all the beauty of heaven; walking straight and strong on the streets of gold with all of her loved ones. Rest in peace sweet little angel.

The family offers many thanks to all the doctors that cared for her- Reilly, Drexler, Houtz and Charles Knight.

Centuries Memorial Funeral Home will host a graveside Life Celebration on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at 2PM. Rev. Darwin Hunter will serve as officiant.
