Robert Valentine Dickson II was the son of Robert Valentine Dickson I and his second wife, Nellie Stephenson. He was drafted in World Wars I and II; was an international trick horse performer with the Miller Brothers 101 Wild West Show with wife, Daisy, and brother, Harvey; and was a Native American costume and jewelry artisan. Bob, as he was commonly known, was also the cowboy Santa present at downtown Toledo department stores in the 1920's and 30's. He was a member of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry. He married Daisy Belle Broadway 26 October 1916. They had one child, Robert Valentine Dickson III.
