Mrs. Brenda Sue Cross Chandler, 67, died Monday, February 20, 2017 at North MS Medical Center of an extended illness. She was born April 14, 1949 in East Prairie, MO. She was a devoted pastor's wife, serving alongside her husband, Pastor Sam Chandler helping to spread the word of Christ for more than 40 years, and most recently serving and assisting her husband at His Grace Ministries in Houlka, MS. She enjoyed gardening, working in her yard, decorating, and animals. Brenda loved mentoring children and spending time with her family.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 25th, 2017 at Kings Gate Worship Center, 2018 W. Jackson St., Tupelo, MS, with Pastor Terry Garrett, Pastor Rob Sevilla, and Pastor Tim Brown officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to service time. Holland Funeral Directors is honored to assist the family with arrangements.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Pastor Sam Chandler of Pontotoc; two daughters, Melinda Mann and Tonya Garrison (Donnie), all of Pontotoc; two sons, Samuel Earl Chandler of Pontotoc, and Michael Chandler (Michelle) of Tupelo; 7 siblings, 18 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren with another one to be born in May, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents and 4 siblings.
