Peggy Mullins Sparks, 71 years of age of Whitewood, VA, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Buchanan General Hospital. Born April 17, 1945 in Grundy, VA, she was the daughter of the late Harry Lee Mullins and Mable Scarberry Mullins.
Peggy enjoyed sewing and was of the Old Regular Baptist faith. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters and one brother.
Survivors include her loving husband of fifty-five years Edd Sparks of Whitewood, VA; daughters Brenda Sparks of VA, Norma Jean Ward and husband Randy of Norton, VA, Greta Ward of Richlands, VA; sons Jerry Edd Sparks of Whitewood, VA, Eddie Sparks and wife Regina of Roanoke, VA; sisters Cassie Coleman of Hurley, VA, Debra Kahler and husband Dennis of San Anelo, TX; brothers Curtis Mullins and wife Rita of Pilgrims Knob, VA, Cleve Mullins of Hurley, VA.
She is also survived by ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service for Peggy Mullins Sparks will be held at Old Samariah Old Regular Baptist Church in Bradshaw, WV, Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. with Elder Gary Estep and Elder Phillip Estep officiating. Burial will follow in the Wolford Cemetery in Wolford, VA.
Active pallbearers will be her family and friends.
The family will receive friends at the Old Samariah Old Regular Baptist Church in Bradshaw, WV, Tuesday, February 28, 2017 after 6:00 p.m. with evening service to be held at 7:00 p.m.
