Timothy "Bird" Carr

Timothy "Bird" Carr, 48 of Wilmington passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, February 24, 2017.
Tim was born in Philadelphia, son of Daniel J. Carr, Jr. and the late Frances (Hassett) Carr. He was a graduate of St. Mark's High School class of 86' and the University of Delaware. He worked as a project manager in the financial services field. He was predeceased by his mother, Frances in 1993 and his sister, Teresa in 1998.
Tim is survived by his son, Joshua D. Carr; his father and stepmother, Daniel and Marlene Carr, all of Wilmington; his brother, Daniel M. Carr and his niece, Katelyn Bennett, both of Middletown.
Tim was a huge Philadelphia sports fan who lived, ate, and breathed the Eagles, 76ers, and Phillies. He had a multitude of close friends, that all can recant countless stories that could only have happened to the "Birdman". His wit and sense of humor would leave everyone around him laughing until they cried. Most considered him as family, his unselfish dedication and love for his friends and family, especially his son Josh will be dearly missed.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday morning at 10:30 AM at St. John the Beloved Church, 907 Milltown Road, where friends may call after 9:30 AM. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery, Wilmington. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the Little Sisters of the Poor, 185 Salem Church Road, Newark, DE 19713.
