You are well remembered by citizens of China Grove and Rowan County. You are often thought of and your death was not forgotten. I was in Vietnam after you. Rest well, Ricky. Rodney Cress.

Ricky and I played high school football together. He was a heck of a nice guy and a good friend. Rick joined the Marines with another friend, Rick Propst. Both were killed in March of 1970. It still hurts to remember those days. Curtis L. Atwell.

High School Friend. I Think of You Often. You were my friend in high school, and you are still my friend. I think of you often. Love, Terry Goldstein (Johnson), Orlando, FL 34734, [email protected].

Ricky Norman Lowder was a good friend who died too soon in his young life. He died 15 days after his 19th birthday and one day shy of having been in Vietnam for one month. He graduated from South Rowan High School in 1969. The last time we saw him was in early January 1970 before he left for Vietnam. He arrived there on 2/4/70 and died on 3/3/70. He was a good friend and a good guy and a good Marine. Like so many others, he made the ultimate sacrifice. We will always remember him and miss him. Rest in peace, our friend. Semper Fi.
