Jesse Taylor, 81, 3162 Stephens, died this morning in the Dee Hospital.

Mr. Taylor was born April 7, 1879, in Vernal, Utah, a son of Teancum and Clarissa Jane Taylor Taylor. He had been a farmer in Vernal and came to Ogden 20 years ago.

He had been employed by Ogden City Street Department, retiring in 1948.

On July 4, 1904, he married Ruth Searle in Vernal.

He was a member and ward teacher of the LDS Nineteenth Ward and a member of the Weber Stake High Priest Quorum.

Surviving are his widow, three sons, Horace, B. Taylor, Ogden; Leo Taylor, Ogden; Howard S. Taylor, Orem; three daughters, Mrs. Rosetta Dow, Mrs. Wendell (Ardella) Johnson and Mrs. Everett (Iris) Johnson, all of Ogden; 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, a brother, Charles Taylor, LaPoint, Utah; a sister, Mrs. Anna Searle, Ogden.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 1 p.m. in Lindquist and Sons Colonial Chapel by Bishop William Covey. Friends may call at the mortuary Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday prior to services. Interment at the Ogden City Cemetery.
